Other ideas given from our viewers:

A local social service or foster care agency may have a family or child to “adopt” for the holiday season to make or buy gifts for. Or help a service organization put together care packages for deployed troops.

Go to the Dollar Tree and think about things a homeless person might need. Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, rain poncho, crackers, gloves, tuna, pb, hat. Select some things and take to North East Community Center or Oasis.

Volunteer at the good samaritan inn, make Christmas cards for nursing homes residents or go sing carols to them.

We made art projects to take to a nursing home. We’re doing it for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Take hot cocoa to the school crossing guards or bell ringers on a cold morning before School.
