Overlook Adventure Mini Golf Guide

Welcome to Overlook Adventure Mini Golf… now open in Nelson Park in Decatur!  Though Paul’s Putting Place holds a place in my hometown Decatur heart… Overlook Adventure did NOT disappoint!

Explore your favorite animals of the Scovill Zoo, and keep an eye out for touches of Decatur throughout the entire facility.  From Lemurs building the transfer house to Stephen Decatur Penguins on a “pirate ship”.    Our kids chose Course B, but we grabbed a few pictures of Course A’s main attractions you can find at the bottom!

Pricing is:
$6.50 for 13+
$5.50 for 4-12 year olds
Free for 3 and under

They even gave our little toddlers plastic clubs, so cute!

Finding a matching ball and club is important to the savvy dressed 🙂   While our littlest golfer loved putting her ball in and out of the hole.

Our kids seemed to love all the holes with water, the Flamingo hole was one of my favorites!

The Snake is still being talked about. It is HUGE, and getting the ball down his throat is so cool for our boys!

The Meerkats were another favorite. Our toddlers loved throwing the ball and watching it go down the stream. Our 4 year olds loved it getting so close to the hole after.

The Stephen Decatur Penguins were my almost 5 year olds favorite. He compared them to the Madagascar Penguins and loved their “pirate ship”.

The Red Panda is also featured causing mischief on a fire hydrant making a pool of water to run on the course. Our kids loved sinking their ball into the water because it was hard to get them back out. I’m sure your older kids wouldn’t do that, since they will focus on getting a good score!

This cute little spinner was on one of the non character holes. You spun it to do something different. One of us had to throw the ball, while another got to take my imaginary score because he got close to my ball. 🙂

Love that they added the Peacocks, I feel like they are such a staple at our zoo. Naturally my kids loved to climb it.

Here are the Lemars with the transfer house, this is the final hole for Course B.

Fairly certain our kids went to the wrong final hole. But they loved the Bear.

Here are some pictures of Course A that we did not get the chance to play this time. My kids are already asking to go back so we can play this course. Looks like fun!!
