What: Macon County Fair 
When: June 7-12
Where: Macon County Fairgrounds
How much: Admission is $1 per person / Free Parking
Highlights: Fair rides, Go Cart Racing, Tractor Pulls, Bulls and Rams Rodeo two nights, Demolition Derby.

Wednesday is Family Night from 6:00pm -8:oopm.  Free Games & Prizes for the Family

Where: Bement City Park and Bryant Cottage State Historic Site Area

Highlights: Events we have include: car show, cutest baby contest, kid games and inflatables, great food, wing eating contest, petting zoo, stagecoach rides, new this year “Movie Night in the Park,” and many more fun-filled activities for all ages.

What: Blues, Brews and BBQ Festivalbluesbrews

Where: Downtown Champaign

Highlights: The 2016 Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival will once again be in Downtown Champaign, IL. The festival will feature two stages for musical performances by national touring artists, The 5th Annual Dinosores Motorcycle Show and so much more. The vibrant downtown area boasts more than 90 bars, restaurants and shops all within a few blocks of the Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival. When: July 2nd
Cost: Free, crafts and vendors extra cost.
Highlights: Begins with a parade and vendors downtown early in the day and continues with helicopter rides, kid games, food stands, powered parachuters, WWII aircraft flyovers, sky divers, tishirt tosses, and much much more. When dark arrives the view the LARGEST fireworks display in Central Illinois. WhatMoultrie – Douglas County Fair
When: July 10-16
Where: Located at Jurgens Park in Arthur behind Arthur High School.
Cost: Most nights, free gate fee. Grandstand shows vary.
Highlights: A full week of activities such as livestock shows, tractor pulls, demolition derby, horse and pony shows, live entertainment, carnival rides for all ages, and exhibits for the whole family.

Cost: Free, carnival, parade, and BAGELS
Highlights: When the Bagel Factory was new to the Midwestern town of Mattoon, owner Murray Lender hosted a free bagel breakfast for the City of Mattoon.

Decatur Celebration
When: August 5-7
Where:  Central Park, Decatur
Cost: Free admission; food and drinks with wristband and purchase, crafts for sale, carnival
Highlights: Each August, hundreds of thousands of people flock to Central Illinois to experience Decatur Celebration, the Midwest’s most exciting family street festival!  Many well known musical guests will be performing everyday!

When: August 26-27
Where: Airport Lincoln, Illinois
Highlights: Tethered balloon rides will be available Friday August 26th and Saturday, August 27th at the Logan County Airport weather permitting. Rides are $15 per adult and $10 per child (12 & Under) and up to 6 people can ride at a time.  Midway carnival and arts and crafts also available.  The airport offers family fun and entertainment with children’s activities and our Midway Carnival. On Saturday, get unlimited rides from 1 PM to 4 PM for only $15! Rock Climbing – Test your skills as you trek to the top of the “mountain”. This festival favorite is fun for all ages. Kite Making – Join Chicago Kite, Saturday, August 27 starting at 11AM at the airport, and check out their kite flying skills. Watch and be amazed at their ability to fly 30 foot kites high above the Logan County Airport. Children can make their own kites and learn how to fly them as well for only $5!

Admission Pricing: $5.00 Adults, $1.00 Children, $1.00 Parking unless you take advantage of the free shuttles downtown and at the Big R parking lot

What:Urbana’s Sweetcorn Festival
When: August 25-26
Where:  Downtown Urbana
Cost: The Urbana Sweetcorn Festival is Champaign County’s largest free festival. Urbana’s signature summer event is a two-day celebration of food, live music, arts and crafts and of course – all the delicious, locally grown sweet corn you can eat. Taking place in the heart of downtown Urbana, the 2016 festival will run Friday, August 26 from 5 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, August 27 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. –

 

 

 

 

 

What: The 42 Annual Amish Country Cheese Festival
When: Labor Day weekend
Where:  Arthur
Cost: Free admission; food, crafts for sale; free cheese!

When:September 9-11th
Where: Arcola, IL
Cost: Free admission; You are invited to the world-famous Arcola Broom Corn Festival, including the parade, craft booths, live entertainment, food vendors, and the 5K & 10K road race.

When: September 24-25
Where: Clinton IL
Cost:  Free
Highlights: Wear your comfortable shoes, and stroll along booth after booth of foods, crafts, antiques, entertainment. Museum tours, and more. Plan to spend the day! Tram and bus transportation to various sites provided for a small fee.
