Decatur  is packed full of entertainment in our parks this summer!  From concerts to movies, there is always something to do!

Moviesinthepark

What: Movie in the Park

When: June 8, July 20th, and August 10th

Where: Nelson Park / Fairview Park at Dusk

Cost: Admission is free

Highlights:  Bring your blanket, snacks and the entire family.  Shows begin at dusk.


FletcherMovies

WhatFamily Movie Night

When: June 10th, July 22nd, August 12th, and August 27th.

Where: Fletcher Park

Cost: Admission is free

Highlights:  Bring your blanket, snacks and the entire family.  Concessions available. Shows begin at dusk.

When: June 16th, July 21st, and August 18th

Where:  Central Park, Decatur

How much: Free admission; Brews and Blues, food, crafts for sale; free cheese!

Highlights: Vendors open at 6:00 pm, bands play from 7-10:00 pm

WhatChill on the Hill

When:  Every Thursday – Gates open at 6:30pm, Music 7-10pm

DecaturMunicipalBand

What: Decatur Municipal Band

When:  Throughout the Summer!

Where:  Overlook Adventure, Fairview Park, Central Park, Millikin Quad, Hickory Point Golf Course

Cost:  Free

Highlights:  The 159th annual family friendly summer band concerts, some seating available or bring lawn chairs and/or blankets.


oakwood

WhatOakwood Block Party

When:  July 9th, August 20th, September 17th

Where: Free Saturday Summer Block Parties on S.Oakland in the West End of Decatur.

Cost: Free admission; all ages.

Highlights: Live music, eclectic cuisine, cold beer, dancing, and fun.  5pm-12am


Shakethelake

What: Shake the Lake

When: June 10th, June 24th, July 4th and July 22nd

Where: Nelson Park

Cost: Admission is free (fees may apply to special events)

Highlights:  Live music, vendors, dancing, and fun.
