Celebrate a safe Halloween with fun for the entire family! Dress up or come as you are, as hundreds of Jack-o’-lanterns guide you through the spooky treat stations. Take a ride on the Fright Night Express and the Endangered Species Carousel.  Train  $2.50 Non-Members  $2.00 FOZ Members. Carousel $2.00 Non-Members $1.50 FOZ Members. Admission $4.25 Collecting Treats $3.25 No Treats Under Age 2 – No Treats – Free

 

Ghost Train

This is a special event at Monticello Railway Museum in Monticello — all ages can enjoy the train ride through Camp Creek Hollow with a stop at Cemetery Road, but only the brave should check out the Haunted Boxcar! Trains will depart from the museum site only. The fare is $6.00 for ages 2 and up. For younger children, we recommend the matinees on Sunday for the train ride and lights-on walk-through of the Haunted Boxcar. Trains on these days will replace the regularly scheduled trains and will depart from the museum site only.  Ghost Train dates: October 19-20 & 25-27

Fall Harvest Festival – Rock Springs.  Don’t miss your chance to celebrate fall with your family.  Come out where the family can partake in wagon rides, make a scarecrow, decorate a pumpkin, eat a wiener roast supper and enjoy some stories by the campfire.  Reservation by 10-11-13.  $2-10.

Decatur IL Mom’s 3rd Annual Too Cute To Spook costume party at the Children’s Museum of Illinois.  $3 for Children in Costume, $5 for Adults.  $1 for members.  Free Hot Papa Murphy’s Pizza.  Monster Mash dance party by DSF Entertainment.  Cat Scavenger Hunt and arts and crafts.  Plus access to the entire Children’s Museum after hours!

Halloween Hoopla- Children’s Museum of Illinois.  Calling all ghosts and goblins!  Visit the Children’s Museum cobweb castle dressed in Halloween Attire., or come as you are and enjoy the festivities.  Roast s’mores by the bonfire, make a Halloween craft, collect treats and complete the scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes!  $6 for General Public | $1 for CMI Members.

Pumpkin Palooza Family Festival – Macon County Fairgrounds.  Games, concessions, friendly trick-or-treat through the Carnival of Horrors.  7-11am ($5)   Cancelled

Super Kids Club- Lincoln Square Theatre Halloween Themed.  $5 adults, Kids Free

Haunted Halloween Masquerade Ball – Mt. Zion Conference Center

Haunted Halloween Ball  Featuring: Kidd Kaddilac.  Costume Contest.  Doors open at 7pm.  Event from 7:30-midnight.  Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door.  Ticket includes appetizers & entry into costume contest along with music

Nick’s Park Trick or Treat -Monticello Stop by Nick’s Park Community Playground for a night of FREE Halloween fun and games! Trick-or-treaters ages 12 and under are invited to stop by the park in costume for the event. Plan on plenty of photo opportunities, and bring your goodie bags!  5-7pm at Nick’s Park, Monticello.
