Downtown Trolley Guide

So you want to ride the downtown trolley… but there are a lot of things that are unknown!  Where do I pick it up?  Where does it go?  How much does it cost? Here is our step by step guide of riding the Downtown Trolley.  This is one of our family’s favorite activities, and better yet it is FREE!

1.   We always get on at the library.

I can park my car there, and it is just where I like to begin and end our adventure.  We stand at the little yellow curb that is by the Book Mobile buses.

2. This is probably my kids favorite part… Wave to the Trolley to let them know you’re going to ride!!

The route takes about 15 minutes.  It depends on the day, but you shouldn’t wait any longer than 10-15 for a ride. The Trolley is scheduled to be at the Transit Station at these times every hour: 00, 15, 30, 45.  The library is the stop right before, so plan to be there 3-5 minutes before those times.

3.  Hop on and pick your seat!

In my children’s case… run because you are so excited!

4.  Pick your seat, no need to pay the driver.

Yep, this Trolley is FREE!!  Now to any child, seat selection is very important.  My little ones pick the front, because you can talk to the Trolley Driver and see everything going on.  The Trolley Drivers are typically WONDERFUL with my kids.  Usually greet them with a smile and tell them to hop on up to the bench!  But from time to time they love to sit in the back.

5.  Ride around until you want to get off.

Today’s trip we stopped on merchant and picked up the trolley again.  You can also just ride it around until you get back to the library.   No matter what, this will be an adventure your kids will love!

From Candy, Popcorn to Snow Cones this is a kid utopia (eghm, and parents)!  We decided on snow cones,in Ninja Turtle and Orange, and the mommys had popcorn and some yummy candy!
